Hello! My name is Brendan Canavan. I am a filmmaker and production designer and a recent graduate with honors from Hofstra University with a BFA in filmmaking. I have over 500 hours of on set experience working on both student and independent films and television productions. I have worked in a number of different positions but I have developed a real love for the art department.
I also have a slowly growing collection of short films of my own including some work in the experimental genre as well as my thesis film Kubler which won third best in show at the 29th annual Hofstra Film Festival this past may. As a part of a secondary thesis I have also adapted Kubler into a feature length script which I am still currently working on. I am currently residing in Massachusetts but I often work in and around New York City. I am hoping to continue to build my experience in the film industry and the art department.
